How to feed our dog
In today's modern world, perhaps we can read the most about the feeding of the dogs. The dogs have not been present for a long time as a pet, but today they are much more like the role of our companion. This means that people started to spend more time, energy, and money on their favorites, which of course opened up another market. You get so much information about this subject over the Internet that you can't decide on most of it about being true or false.
Now we want to clear this and dispel the misconceptions about the feeding.
Feeding a large dog is not an easy task. In order for our puppy to develop properly and healthily and to avoid possible illnesses, we would like to present you with two feed options:

- granulate
- BARF (raw food)
Granulate
In this accelerated world, the advancement of modern man is the dry food. Order from the Internet, put it in our dog's bowl, and it is ready. Feeding with dry food is the most obvious and common form of feeding. We absolutely believe that a high quality premium dry food can be used to raise a puppy. However, you should know a few things before you get into the plethora of dry foods. What kind of food you have to look for your dog:
Puppies of large dogs, if possible, reared with a "weaker" diet than the average. This is how we try to avoid the rapid growth of excessive protein, which can lead to serious health (joint) problems. Large body puppies should be kept thin! The height and weight of an adult are "writen" at birth, but the question is when to reach it. Here, the answer is clearly better later than never. No need to hurry to grow, keep our kid thin, and then get a healthy adult dog. |
The feed should contain animal proteins! The dog was domesticated, digesting the plant-based feed much better than the ancestors, but it is still a carnivorous animal that can utilize animal proteins best.
When possible, feed with grain free food. The dog does not get energy from carbohydrates, but from fat. Knowing this, we can see that our pet does not need the grain, the manufacturers put it into the feed as ballast because it is cheap.
Preservative and aromatic free. We do not think this needs a particular explanation. It is also problematic to feed with various fortified foods, as the dog will find it more difficult to eat aroma free foods at a possible feeding change.
Monoprotein. The best manufacturers on the market work exclusively with monoprotein, as protein source. This is especially rewarded by dogs who are prone to allergies.
It is important to understand that there is no good and bad food, it is not so black and white. Never rely on the brand name or on the hearings, but on your own experience. If the dog's condition is good, the quality of the hair is good, the amount of stool is good then the food we feed is probably quite appropriate.
If you feed with granulates, we suggest only a joint protector supplement. Any supplement with MSM is appropriate (like NoroFlex).

BARF (raw food)
Who wouldn't have heard of BARF nowadays. BARF is an English acronym, essentially about the fact that our little pet is actually a carnivorous wolf, so we have to feed him accordingly. BARF is not a new thing - even if many people think so - the old breeders were also fed raw (when there were no premium quality dry foods)but, they didn't call it BARF. BARF returns to the roots and tries to model the feeding of the ancestors of the dogs. Of course, the domesticated dog is no longer a wolf and has undergone many changes since then. At the same time, it is worth knowing that the dog is a carnivorous animal, but it consumes the plant food better than the wolf. So try to model a wolf's diet and the easiest way to do it is to imagine a prey animal. How does a prey look like?
Our dog needs these, nothing else. Of course, if you want, we have the opportunity to add a lot of other things, we've compiled a guiding menu for you. Take 2-4% of our dog's weight (depending on activity), the resulting number will be the total daily dose of our dog.:

Bony meat. This is the vase for the menu. For starter BARF dogs we recommend the easy to digest, soft, chicken bones. Later, more experienced, large-bodied dogs can get harder bones. It's important to talk about fleshy bones. The fleshy bone slips more easily, does not hurt the dog's throat and does not cause injury.
Lean meat. As mentioned earlier, dogs do not get carbohydrates, but they get energy from fat. If the meat we buy is not very promising for us -greasy-, it is the dog's master food.
Vegetables. Luxury Guards kennel dogs always eat seasonal, fresh vegetables. There are a couple of ban on vegetables that you might want to look after, but generally puffing vegetables should be avoided. The vegetable grated or minced to give them easier digestion. The dog does not digest the vegetables perfectly, if they are given in larger pieces, they can easily get stuck in their digestive system.
Harslet. The harslet is full of minerals, vitamins and trace elements. Let's try to keep 10% because we can easily give the dog too much vitamins as it needs. Half of the harslet is always liver.
We feed only raw in the BARF! During the heat treatment, the meat and vegetables lose most of their nutrient content. Bone meat is strictly forbidden to heat, because the heat will cause the bone structure to change, become tough and the splinter bone can cause life threatening injuries in our pet! It is also worthwhile to avoid the tubular bones because they break apart. Examples include chicken legs.
Feeding raw pork is strictly forbidden !!!
If you feed BARF, we recommend the following supplements:
